Deadpool on Deadpool: X-Men Origins

migraine
Alright, let me get this straight from the get-go. I haven't seen the movie yet. Yeah, I know, I figured if they'd give anyone an advance screening, it'd be me, but I'm busy anyway, so no hard feelings.

Anyway, as some of you jokers might have heard, they're making a movie about Wolverine soon and I'm supposed to be in it. You'll see a take on my humble beginnings as Ryan Reynolds and my eventual transformation into something like what you see today.

First off, Ryan Reynolds was a great idea. He's a cool dude. Funny as hell. Some of his movies are hilarious too. "Blade III"? A fucking riot. He also seems to get me. He gets what I'm about and that makes me feel good about him taking a spin on my psyche. Better than I feel about a certain other person trying to act like me.

[Stay on topic]

So needless to say I had high hopes for this movie. Or at least for all the parts with me in it.

Then I caught this new trailer for it, and so I have a question for Fox.

Actually I have a lot of questions: "Why has the Simpsons run on so long?", "Why do you cancel all your good shows?", "How long will I have to wait for Die Hard 5, and if Willis isn't still alive, can I play John McClane?", the list goes on, but after seeing the trailer, one big one sticks out.

What the fuck is this shit?

Is that supposed to be me? Really?

Now I didn't expect you to follow my origin exactly. I mean, my origin is long and complicated (though totally awesome) and this isn't my origin movie, so I expected some things to be glazed over.

But what the shit?

Why do I have Wolverine claws? And why am I shooting lasers out of my eyes?

AND WHY DON'T I HAVE A FUCKING MOUTH!?

Look at my username.

"mercwamouth". That shit means "Merc With a MOUTH".

Now, like I said, I haven't seen the movie yet. And I gotta admit, having those powers would be pretty nifty, though I don't think having my mouth sealed over would be worth it. But if I haven't cut my own face open by the end of this movie, I'll cut a hole in the movie screen so I can at least pretend.

Rupert Murdoch, I'm watchin' you.

It's been about half a year since Deadpool first arrived on the Plane and a lot has happened both on the Plane and off. On this entry, I will do my best to take note of the major events in Deadpool's life so that people won't have to scurry around on R/S trying to figure it out if they're new. This is meant to branch off from the History portion of my app. I will break it into two portions: Canon, that is, events that happened in the comic series "Deadpool", and R/S, that is, events that happened pertaining to the Plane.

Canon
Latest Canon Point: "Deadpool" #7
-Daniel Way-
Deadpool was reintroduced to the comic world not long after the end of "Cable & Deadpool" with a sort of reboot of the original series titled "Deadpool". While the continuity remained the same, some reinventions took place. The new writer Daniel Way had been getting into the flow of Deadpool by including him in his series "Wolverine Origins" where he made a number of changes to the character, mostly small, but worth noting. First of all, Deadpool now had two boxes for his thought processes. One was yellow, the other was white, first represented as a written diary page, now represented as a white box with typeface. In essence, Deadpool has three voices, two of which only he can hear. At first it seemed that Way was going for the Id/Ego/Superego thing, but he had this to say: “There are times when it sort of does play out like that. The white first person narrative caption box is kind of what he's really thinking. Then there's the yellow box which is his diary and that's kind of what he wants you to think he's thinking, but there are times when that completely flip flops. It's like he can't keep things straight. Deadpool very much lives in a world of his own construction so he's not very big on rules and order. Everybody has those warring impulses, the angel and the devil on your shoulders. It's just that in Deadpool's case, they're both devils.” On top of that, Way had gotten rid of Deadpool's entourage. Agent X, Sandi, Outlaw, Bob, and even Weasel, who's been around since the beginning, are nowhere to be found on the outset with little to no explanation as to why. While it's not hard to imagine given how Deadpool's not much of a people person, it definitely begs the question of what exactly happened. Another staple that Way unhinged was the fourth-wall breaking, which is less common now. Deadpool also introduced "Pool-O-Vision" which is essentially hallucinations brought on by Deadpool's unique perspective on life. Finally, in contrast to the Deadpool in "Cable & Deadpool", Deadpool is to be taken a little more seriously. While he's still funny and often a failure (the way we like him) Way made sure to mention that this Deadpool would play a larger role in the events of the Marvel Universe.
-Secret Invasion-
Deadpool got his start in "Deadpool" with a tie-in to the Marvel Universe cross-over event "Secret Invasion". Basically a race of aliens known as Skrulls who can shape-shift develop the ability to mimic the powers of Marvel's meta-humans. By causing Earth's superheroes to distrust one another through this subterfuge, they launch a full-scale attack. While that's going on, Deadpool challenges one of the major Skrull vessels and pretty much holds his own, taking out dozens of Skrulls in the process. He then surrenders and offers his services, citing a general distaste for humanity. The Skrulls promptly knock him out and start fiddling with his DNA, incorporating it into their Super-Skrulls so that they will be immortal. Deadpool bargains for his freedom by agreeing to train the relatively psychotic new Super-Skrulls. He does so and essentially makes them go crazy and take out most of the ship. However, the head honcho eventually gets them under control and appears to have the upper hand, until the Super-Skrulls explode. It is revealed that because Deadpool's healing factor was designed to combat his cancer, it is always functioning and thus the cancer keeps it in check. Without the cancer, the cells will rebuild themselves constantly, eventually resulting in "splortch". Deadpool then kills the head scientist and proceeds to fulfill his true mission, which is retrieving data for none other than Nick Fury. Nick Fury asked him to infiltrate the vessel to transmit biological data on the Skrull queen, in order for them to learn her weakness. However, when Deadpool sends the data, it is intercepted by one Norman Osborn. In the climax of the "Secret Invasion", Norman uses the data to kill the Skrull queen and be regarded as a hero. Meanwhile, Deadpool, who technically failed his mission, goes unpaid.
-Zampires-
Following his initial failure, Deadpool sought another mission. The problem, however, was that the "Secret Invasion" was still going on and so work was hard to come by. Luckily, Deadpool got an offer from a merc known as Zeke, who we're told is a less than savory individual. He arms Deadpool and tells him to go rescue his wife who is currently being held captive by a demented plastic surgeon who essentially creates vampire-zombies. They're zombies in that they eat human flesh and everything, but the twist is that if they eat human flesh, they become much more attractive and intelligent, but if they go hungry, they look and act more like traditional zombies. Anyway, they rope in Deadpool and capture him, revealing that Zeke wasn't actually intending for Deadpool to rescue his wife, but to be offered as payment for his wife's procedure. Being able to regenerate, Deadpool would act as an endless food supply for them. The plan backfires, however, when the zampires find that Deadpool tastes terrible. Planning to just chuck him, Deadpool talks them into a different plan. Let him tell Zeke that he rescued his wife and let him come to them. Food for them, retribution for Deadpool. Sure enough, Zeke came with a small army and the intention of double-crossing Deadpool and was promptly eaten by the zampires. After Zeke's army was inevitably defeated, Deadpool finished by using the last of his munitions (plastic explosives) to blow up the zampires' mansion, presumably killing them in the process. A satisfactory victory for Deadpool, but he still goes unpaid.
-Tiger Shark and the Return of Bob-
On his way back from another botched mission, Deadpool is bushwhacked by one Tiger Shark, who is secretly being forced to work for Norman Osborn, who wishes to have Deadpool permanently silenced in case he were to ever connect the dots. Tiger Shark, not really possessing much passion for the work, is satisfied with the bare minimum interpretation of Osborn's orders. In other words, when he kills Deadpool, he lets him go, knowing full well that Deadpool would probably come back from it. Osborn being unsatisfied, he orders Tiger Shark to collect Deadpool's head, an order Tiger Shark agrees to follow. Not long after recovering from his mortal wounds, Deadpool finds Tiger Shark coming after him, which suits him just fine. In the climax of the battle, an old friend, Bob of HYDRA, shows up in the nick of time. And promptly starts drowning. Deadpool's opportunity to kill Tiger Shark passed by and so he reluctantly saves Bob who then proceeds to follow him around. No explanation is given as to where Bob was before then. Eventually, Deadpool pieces together that Bob was sent to help Tiger Shark by compromising him and he calls him on it. Bob then helps Deadpool get the drop on Tiger Shark, who he then defeats. It is not clear whether or not Bob would have still double-crossed Tiger Shark if Deadpool hadn't called him on it. Regardless, Deadpool isn't pleased with Bob's two-faced agenda and promptly shoots him in the hand as punishment. He then asks Bob who was behind this whole thing. Bob then reveals that Norman Osborn is behind it. A quick glimpse of the TV allows Deadpool to connect the dots. He sends an invoice to Norman Osborn, blackmailing him into paying him an exorbitant amount of money for his silence. He also says he killed Bob, though it's probable that this is a lie (though it's never outright proven). In response, Osborn prepares to send his team, the Thunderbolts, after Deadpool.

R/S
Latest Point: Post 013
-Arrival-
Deadpool's arrival on the Plane was a bit messy at first. As it was my first time doing LJ RP, I had yet to get into the flow of it. Deadpool did not yet have his trademark yellow speech bubbles/boxes. Since Daniel Way's version hadn't come out yet, I only used one box for his thoughts and completely disregarded the fourth wall, actually conversing with him through narrator notes. While I still do that occasionally, I've cut back a lot, favoring his white box instead. Deadpool's initial reaction to the Plane was that it smelled of fan-fiction, which made him wary. The presence of alcohol fixed that pretty quickly though. Right off the bat, Deadpool met a few of his closest friends as well as a few people who found him largely intolerable. As of this point, he knew Hei only as Li Shengshun, a dual identity which would prove to confuse him for quite some time. He also thought of Diva as a strange but pleasant and perhaps naive and sheltered girl.
-Misaki and the Blackout-
Another notable person Deadpool met shortly after his arrival on the Plane was Misaki, who he thought was very remarkable in that she didn't seemed phased by any of his weirdness and that he made her laugh. This crush, though it didn't last long, served as a great deal of his motivation through the plot where the entire Plane shut down, trapping everyone there with no light. Misaki appeared there terrifically injured and practically helpless. Deadpool did what he could to help her, but the experience caused Deadpool to begin to let go of his small crush. He saw how much Hei/Li cared about her and also that she had a lot of issues with showing her vulnerability. While Deadpool could empathize with this, he wasn't interested in butting heads with her over something like a relationship, so after a few awkward conversations, it became clear that they would only be friends, though Deadpool still considers her to be one of his closest.
-The Return of Canon and Adjusting-
Eventually, Daniel Way's "Deadpool" was released and along with incorporating his changes into my interpretation of the character, Deadpool began to enjoy his time on the Plane. He began to see it as a place to relax and collect his thoughts. He brought in a TV (locked to prevent unintentional fourth wall breakage) and started getting chummier with many of the other Plane-goers. He eventually accepted that Li was just a character, not actually a split-personality and thus referred to Hei simply as Hei. He also took on a job for the Twins, promoting their shop. While he was gung-ho about this job at first, it seemed clear that the Twins probably had no intention of actually paying him and that their experiments weren't always harmless fun, particularly in the case of Diva, who I'll talk about later. Deadpool became a lot closer to Hei when he and Misaki had their Marriage experiment. He saw Hei as a father and then saw the aftermath when it was all taken away. Seeing Hei trying to shrug off his emotions, Deadpool decided to force him out of it by beating the crap out of him. It pretty much worked and since then, he and Hei have had a pretty close, though somewhat antagonistic, friendship. Conversely, the same experiment seemed to distance him from Misaki. The aftermath woke a lot of her fury, particularly toward Diva who said the wrong thing at the wrong time. While she apologized to Deadpool for some of the things she said, the unrest between her and Diva makes Deadpool a bit uneasy.
-Diva-
Easily Deadpool's strongest connection on the Plane was that of Diva. Their first genuine connection was when Diva died on the Plane. At this point, Deadpool didn't know that people were brought back from the dead here, so he was very honest when speaking to her as she died. If he hadn't done that, he probably wouldn't have opened up to her as much as he did. I've talked about their relationship a bunch of times in other places on this journal, so I won't go too far into explaining the details, but essentially, they are in a lot of ways kindred spirits with largely opposite perspectives on life. They both have histories of violence, they're both immortal, they were both experimented on, they're both lonely, they're both crazy, they're both sometimes regarded with fear, and they both have a scarred true self that they hide. Regardless, Diva's existence, largely because of Sam, consists of her trying to contain her inner beast and belong, whereas Deadpool gave up on belonging a long time ago. He has little patience for her rejection of her true self, which provides the source of a lot of their conflicts. Anyway, Diva insisted on being Deadpool's special person, eventually convincing Deadpool to go along with it. Deadpool fell in love with Diva, found out about the Tower fiasco where she killed a bunch of people on the Plane, stopped working for the Twins (though he never really announced his resignation), and around the beginning of the New Year, Deadpool and Diva's realities had partially merged, which said a lot about their relationship, but also put Deadpool in a weird place mentally. His privacy felt somewhat invaded and he began to worry that maybe their relationship was going further than he wanted it to.
-Sam-
A person Deadpool had heard a lot about when getting to know Diva was the love of her life, Sam. He was clearly the person with the most influence over her and this concerned Deadpool a lot. Eventually, he and Sam met, and while they generally get along OK on the surface, they both have a lot of problems with each other. Deadpool sees that Sam is generally a nice enough guy and that he genuinely cares about Diva, but is more concerned that his fear of what Diva could become might outweigh his affection for her. He doesn't want Sam to turn Diva into something she's not just because he doesn't want her killing anyone. Deadpool doesn't see any reason to change who Diva is and if Sam goes from trying to help to just controlling, Deadpool might not be able to stop himself from intervening. On the flip side, it seems that while Sam is alright with Deadpool in general, he is concerned that he might be a bad influence on Diva and also might pose a threat to the Plane as a whole. Despite that unrest, Deadpool finds he is able to talk to Sam fairly easily and does so on occasion. However, the unrest could potentially sow the seeds of destruction.
-Experiment-
Currently, Deadpool is in the middle of his first experiment on the Plane. He cannot talk or make any noise. This has largely lead to much amusement on the Plane and much frustration on Deadpool's part. Lucy Saxon, a person that loathes Deadpool (a feeling he reciprocates), took great pleasure in mocking him. This has put her on his short list of people who need to be taught a lesson. Probably something non-violent as long as he has some degree of sense about him, given who she's married to and that Diva likes her. Additionally, he's found that Diva has quite a lot to say when he's not interrupting her or side-tracking the conversations. Diva has also provided him with a notepad that he will use for some degree of communication.

And that pretty much brings us up to speed. Huzzah!

Deadpool in Love (OOC)

  • Dec. 31st, 2008 at 1:52 PM
gun pose
In the HMD I ended up talking with Christy about Deadpool's relationship with Diva and more importantly his relationship with women in general. I had so much fun writing about Deadpool's psychology in an earlier OOC post that I thought it might be fun to write more in detail about his relationship with Diva and why he's so nervous about it.

I find that it's easier to convey a lot of this if I actually use the source material, so I will be using a lot of comic images in this post. Most of them will be cut, though, since I use a lot of them.

Here we go.

Wade Wilson's love life begins and ends with a woman named Vanessa Carlysle. When they first met, she was a prostitute in Boston, he was just a regular mercenary (no powers yet). We met her when an agent from LL&L named Zoe investigated in Deadpool's past, pretending to be a prostitute to get closer to Vanessa and thus closer to Wade Wilson.

Vanessa as a prostitute )

Things might have worked out for them, but then Wade Wilson discovered he had cancer.

Wade breaks up with Vanessa )

This marks the first lost love of Wade Wilson. Sweet, naive, and sad. This isn't the last we see of Vanessa, but she doesn't come back for a while, so let's move on to when Deadpool was in the place where he gets his namesake.

In every man's romantic life, there is always "the one that got away".

For Deadpool, the one that got away was Death.

When Wade was being tortured on a regular basis after his seemingly failed procedure, he slowly began to lose his mind. It reached its pinnacle when he saw and fell in love with the physical manifestation of Death.

Deadpool and Death )

Then he finally had the chance to be at peace, but a desire to revenge his recently deceased friend tied him to the mortal coil.

Deadpool leaves Death )

Death has made a few reappearances, and remains the only actual potential love interest for Deadpool today, but his healing factor means that the time may never be for their love.

Deadpool loves Death )

Next was the first person to actually see Deadpool and not turn away, Theresa Cassidy, AKA Siryn.

Deadpool falls for Siryn )

Eventually, she grew into Deadpool's first steady relationship post-insanity. She helped him find the path of good, but her responsibilities made it impossible for that to be more than platonic.

Deadpool and Siryn just friends )

Even so, Siryn helped Deadpool see the good side. He even tried to help a psychotic woman by the name of Typhoid Mary. She wasn't terribly appreciative and decided to try and "help" him. This didn't go well.

Typhoid Mary 'helping' Deadpool )

So then Deadpool started to lose it, but when he went back to Siryn for help, her recent problems and her new boyfriend made her a little ornery. This caused their relationship to become strained.

Deadpool snaps at Siryn )

Deadpool then went without much love for a while, though he still had feelings for Siryn, but eventually, he was reunited with none other than Vanessa Carlysle, now known as Copycat.

Deadpool and Copycat )

Despite their hesitations, the reunion went well and Deadpool had a healthy relationship again.

Of course, this wasn't meant to last.

Unfortunately, Siryn chose this time to try and patch things up with Deadpool, with Copycat finding out first.

Copycat gets jealous )

Copycat, who unsurprisingly can mimic other people, decides to ruin Deadpool's chances with Siryn.

Copycat meets Siryn )

And so now we understand Deadpool's views on love. While he does desire that love and can sometimes be in the mood to hit on everything that moves, whenever things get serious, things start to go very wrong.

In R/S, Deadpool's first crush was Misaki. She seemed to find him entirely unremarkable, and that kind of made him feel normal. Something he's never really felt. On top of that, he made her laugh, and well, she IS pretty hot. However, her vulnerability, her inability to let people in, and her relationship with Hei made Deadpool realize that it wouldn't work out for them, so he got over it.

Now for Diva. This part I'm gonna take verbatim from a comment in HMD to save me time, so sorry if you already read that.

When Deadpool first met her, I was amused in a kind of "Wow, this innocent girl clearly has no idea what Deadpool actually is. How quaint." But as it turned out, both Deadpool and I had no idea what Diva actually was, and whenever Diva started clinging to Deadpool, Deadpool showed a little bit of his true self to scare her off. But she wouldn't scare, quite the contrary, she usually related to Deadpool. Eventually Deadpool just laid out all the cards on the table and Diva was still there. Obviously, Deadpool fell in love with her on the spot, but that scared Deadpool shitless since he's never had a successful relationship ever and whenever one of his relationships goes downhill, something really bad happens.

Another element is that Deadpool knows how Diva feels about Sam. She loves him and we all know it. Whatever love she can give Deadpool, Deadpool doesn't want it to be anything more than platonic because he knows that it can never be greater than her love and dependence on Sam. And he does think that Sam is mostly good for her. So this love shall probably go unrequited. However, Deadpool in love is a scary thing, as we've seen with Typhoid Mary. If something happens that makes Deadpool snap... hoo boy.

On Realities and Mergers (OOC)

  • Nov. 3rd, 2008 at 6:19 PM
gun pose
I've got to confess, when I first joined R/S, I pretty much didn't understand the actual logistics of the world, I just took it as a panfandom game what had some kookiness. I didn't understand mergers and experiments and things like that.

Since I've been learning about these things, I've begun to wonder about how Deadpool would be affected.

Y'see, Deadpool (at least my understanding of him) is fully aware of what his existence amounts to. He knows that he's a fictional character, he knows he has no control over his actions, and in the case of my Deadpool, he even knows that he is not the canon Deadpool.

However, much like Tiresias from "Oedipus Rex", he understands that his knowledge doesn't change anything. It can't change anything. His unique perspective of the world works well for humor, but he can't use his knowledge to cheat, because in the end, he has no control over his actions. He understands that his purpose in life is to be an amusing little puppet and has come to terms with that. Much like Cypher from "The Matrix", he knows his life isn't real, but he wants to try and forget what he knows about reality and just enjoy his fake life like everyone else.

There's a lot of speculation as to why Deadpool has this insight. Sure, it's mostly because the writers found it amusing, but the way it's been written into canon implies a much deeper reason has developed over the years. My personal belief stems from his existence in both life and death. Deadpool only survives because of his healing factor and his cancer. His healing factor keeps the cancer at bay and the cancer keeps the healing factor from killing him. At the heart of this is his choice to stay alive. His healing factor first began working when he decided to seek vengeance for his murdered friend. He decided to live and even after he achieved his vengeance, he continued to live because of that choice. He needed a reason to live or he couldn't. The problem was, he really had no reason to live. He was a freak, he was alone, he was insane. There was nothing left for him. Yet he continued existing. Maybe he began to wonder why or maybe he tried to look at the bigger picture to find the humor in the situation. Regardless of how, much like how his unique position smack in the middle of death's doorway, his fractured mind, and his desire to die in the Workshop allowed him to see and interact with Death as a person, something in his mind clicked. He understood it all. He could now see the humor of the situation. He found his reason to live. To be a puppet.

However, he also has to take into account the fact that he's insane. While he sees the world as it is, no one else does. As a result, he finds himself forced to play the game of a normal three-walled life and, as previously mentioned, he's envious of those who can happily exist within their own fake lives. Even though it's not real, he wants to be happy, though he doesn't have much confidence that he can achieve it.

This brings me to my point.

The Realities of the Machine are very much dependent on an individual character's perception of the world. Right now, Deadpool believes that the Machine's Realities function in the same way as his original canon reality. He is not yet aware that when he hallucinates in his Reality, the hallucinations actually happen. The reason for this is because he needs to believe this to maintain what little sanity he has left. If he realized that he could actually affect his Reality, he would realize that he has control over his existence in this world. While he is still controlled by me in the grand scheme of things, his unique perspective now means more than it did before. It would be the equivalent of Tiresias figuring out that he can in fact change the future. This would either result in Deadpool losing his grip on reality or abusing his new found power to fuck shit up.

While this would be fun (some day) right now, I don't think he's ready for that.

So until then, everything else will remain pretty much the same in Deadpool's world as it is normally.

Nonetheless, his unique perspective does affect the way he exists in the Machine.

Until he can understand the way the Machine actually works (i.e. that his perspective affects his Reality and not just his perception of Reality) a Reality Merge will not be possible or at the very least be very difficult. This is partially because he believes himself to be alone and as such, this loneliness is reflected in his Reality, effectively barring others' Realities from merging with his. Additionally, his belief that none of the other characters are any more real than him prevents him from developing any actual connection with them. He actually perceives them as less real since they are even fictional in his world.

That I've pretty much decided on.

What I'm more interested in is what Deadpool would be capable of if he realized that he could affect his Reality. Would his point of view make Merging easier since he doesn't believe his Reality to be real in the first place? Would this basically allow him to come and go though Realities as he pleases? Could he then affect the Machine on a fundamental scale, preventing people from retreating back to their Realities or warping their Realities?

Maybe one day we'll find out. I certainly would be interested in seeing how Meredith and the Twins react to such an occurrence.

Don't think I'll explore that just yet though. My balls aren't big enough.

You've reached Deadpool. Merc with a mouth. Crimson comedian. Regeneratin' degenerate. If you need my services, leave a message with your name, number, and a rough job description. I'll get back to you soon as I need the dough (which is usually right away). I'll take on any job if the pay is right. If you're not interested in those services... what are you wearing?

Relations

gun pose
Was a bit bored today and so I decided to do something I've been meaning to do for a while. Make a post meant to help keep Deadpool's relationships with Shifters straight. Or gay if the situation fits.

[info]aimania - Flonne
Status: Friendly acquaintances. Flonne tried to get Deadpool to open up about his feelings. Didn't really go well. Deadpool thinks she's alright, though. Just a little touchy-feely.
Hallucinations: Imagined her dressed up like a 70's hippie.

[info]anjelsword - Aniki Forfrysning
Status: Acquaintance. Aniki seems to begrudgingly tolerate Deadpool, but Deadpool likes her strength and kickin' accent. He also loves her cursing. "Shit of Mithros" still cracks me up.

[info]bacchusprince - Romeo
Status: Not a fan. Doesn't really hate him, except maybe by association. Probably could hate him if given the opportunity.

[info]bacchusprincess - Juliet
Status: Loathes. Almost killed once. Won't kill on sight, but would probably try with minimal provocation.

[info]brigadiertardis - TARDIS
Status: Acquaintances. They'll argue, but usually all in good fun. Or masochism perhaps.

[info]chansondelamort - Diva
Status: Friends. Diva's a rare individual that isn't freaked out by Deadpool's bizarre behavior. She actually seems to care about him on occasion, which Deadpool finds quite disarming. They actually have quite a lot in common, though Deadpool has trouble with her hopeful optimism. Oh, also watched her die that one time. That was fun, wasn't it?
Hallucinations: Once imagined her as Siryn, Deadpool's long-lost love interest, while Diva was sympathizing with him.

[info]chasingstars201 - Misaki Kirihara
Status: Friends. Deadpool had a bit of a crush on her after she didn't find him strange it all and he made her laugh for about 7 tags straight. He mostly got over it after she kinda pushed him away and he saw that she and Hei probably have one of those complicated relationships. He still likes her a lot, though, and she's one of the few who has seen behind Deadpool's front.

[info]coil_legacy - Yasako
Status: Acquaintances. Deadpool likes intimidating her as it is quite easy and very amusing. He is also fascinated by the glasses.

[info]contract_star - Hei
Status: Friends. Deadpool sees him as really uptight and terribly mysterious. Even so, he relates to him pretty well. Gone through a lot together and he likes to know what the guy is up to. Hei seems to think he's alright too.

[info]crowheaded - Ikki Minami
Status: Friends. Deadpool likes the kid's moxie. Ikki seems to look up to Deadpool a bit as well. Deadpool enjoys bragging to Ikki about his latest exploits.

[info]cyfor - Cypher
Status: Deadpool likes to freak Cy out. Cy doesn't like this so much. Deadpool thinks Cy is kinda creepy, but he kinda likes cute things.

[info]demnify - The Master
Status: Met once. Master doesn't seem to think much of Deadpool. Deadpool's kind of indifferent about him.

[info]firedprince - Zuko
Status: Friends. Deadpool's a fan of "Avatar" and likes to play mentor to Zuko since Zuko's all emo and, in a lot of ways, reminds Deadpool of himself. What with the scarring, the bad luck with girls, the father issues, the questions of moral ambiguity, and the frequent use of the color red.
Hallucinations: Once saw Zuko as a younger version of himself.

[info]fireintothesky - Henrietta
Status: Friendly. Deadpool thinks she's cute and doesn't yet know about her skills because he's an idiot.

[info]got_the_stones - Toph
Status: Friends. Deadpool and Toph kinda have mutual admiration for one another's talents and exploits. Toph also pressures Deadpool about his whacked out moral barometer.
Hallucinations: Once imagined Toph as a kitten. Didn't end well.

[info]guywaboomerang - Sokka
Status: Conflict of interests. They've met once just to appease my curiosity, but it probably won't happen again for a while at least.

[info]immortalmistake - Firo Prochainezo
Status: Friends. Fellow immortals. They get along pretty well. Got a good deal in common after all.

[info]itsthecoat - Jack Harkness
Status: Acquaintances. Deadpool doesn't really have much against him, but Jack's dashing about being sexy and awesome rubs Deadpool the wrong way. Probably just jealous.

[info]just_havefaith - Kaylee
Status: Friendly acquaintances. Deadpool's a fan and Kaylee's friendly with everybody. Other than that, not a whole lot happening yet. They've only met once.

[info]lamb_of_gold - Aries no Mu
Status: Acquaintances. While they've hung out a great deal, I feel like Mu and Deadpool just don't get each other on a certain level. Deadpool certainly appreciates Mu, but Mu seems to have limited tolerance for Deadpool's antics. Also Deadpool isn't completely sold on Mu's gender.

[info]marthajonesmd - Martha Jones
Status: Acquaintances. Have chatted a bit. Martha once freaked out over some bullet wounds he sustained.

[info]miseardae - Fifth Doctor
Status: They've talked a little. Not much. No actual introductions unfortunately. Deadpool needs to get out there and meet some more Doctors.

[info]damnfinecoffee - Ianto Jones (d8)
Status: Acquaintances. Met here and there. Deadpool doesn't really think much of him yet. Seems kinda run of the mill to him. Sure Ianto isn't much impressed either.

[info]saythistostart - Nogami Ryotarou
Status: Friends. Deadpool thinks he's a Ghost Rider. Or a Power Ranger. He's not entirely sure yet. They usually get along fine.

[info]shinypaws - Amaterasu
Status: Friends. Deadpool finds Ammy pretty trippy and cool. Doesn't know many goddesses, really. Ammy seems to like Deadpool, but then again, Ammy seems to like just about everything.

[info]sifud - Katara
Status: Unsure. Deadpool's a fan of Katara, but Katara might think Deadpool's Fire Nation, and Deadpool might just roll with that assumption.

[info]soimpressive - Ninth Doctor
Status: Know each other. Haven't spoken much. They know they exist.

[info]stronguponme - Jackie Estacado
Status: Acquaintances. Deadpool likes having another American comic book character around, but since this one's more from the video game, it doesn't quite count. Still, he thinks he's interesting and doesn't really want to blow his cover.

[info]swanseer - Juni Swan
Status: Friendly acquaintances. They don't really know each other well yet, but they're pretty cool with one another.

[info]thedeltaqueen - Sealink
Status: Unfriendly. Deadpool sprayed her with a water pistol and Sealink didn't do much except hiss.

[info]witchmaker - Angela
Status: Friends. They get along pretty well most of the time.

So what have I learned? Not nearly enough people hate Deadpool. Gotta work on that. Also he needs to get to know one of the Tens.

Will keep this updated to the best of my ability. If I forgot anyone, let me know.

You know the drill. Tell me how you think I'm doin' with Deadpool...

I don't think you're doing too badly.

Well, thanks, that's good to know.

I just think you're doing regular badly.

...

Sorry man. I think you're doing well for these kinda standards (no offense), but I mean, you're still just a fan and when my series comes back in a couple months, don't expect me to miss this stuff while I'm kicking Skrull butt.

What if you are a Skrull?

...

...

...

...

Yeah, I got nothin'.

Right, figured.

Still, at least you let me break the fourth wall and stuff. And you even got me my yellow boxes.

Glad you appreciate that. The HTML for it is a bitch.

Though it wouldn't kill you to make some more userpics.

Right.

Plus, where's the fun of breaking the fourth wall if I know nothing about the characters I'm talking to?

Hey, it's not my fault you don't watch British or Japanese television.

Yeah, but you do. You're writing me, so I should know too.

Look, let me get used to breaking the fourth wall before I start breaking the fifth wall or whatever.

Anyway, let me know how you think I'm doing.

Not me, though. Cause I'm always awesome.

Threadhopping with this character - yes/no/maybe so?: Sure.

Backtagging with this character - yes/no/maybe so?: Sure.

Hugging this character?: Definitely. Especially in "that way". Unless you're a dude.

Giving this character a kiss?: See hugging.

Punching this character: You'll be hard-pressed not to.

Is there anything ought not be mentioned near this character?: Not that I can think of.

Is there anything you need us to know about interacting with this character? Special physical features, fighting abilities, STUFF: Just remember, he's going to break the fourth wall on a regular basis. Typically, this is just for comedic purposes, so don't make too much of it unless you really want to. It would probably be more in character to just ignore the crazy babblings.

Anything else, please mention here: This is going to be fuuuun...
